Based in Vancouver,BC
Hi, I’m Satomi. I’m a network engineer-in-training, living in Canada. I dropped out of university in Japan and jumped into the IT world here in Canada. After learning the basics of web development like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript(etc...), I personally focus on network engineering and I got CCNA certification these days. Now I'm trying to get AWS SAA certification. This blog is where I share my real-life journey from a liberal arts background to tackling the IT industry abroad, how networks are built, and sometimes a few personal stories along the way. If any of that catches your attention, feel free to check it out. For those who are new to IT, curious about studying abroad, or just want to join me on this wild ride, let’s enjoy the journey together! 🌍💻

Picked English literature when I wasn’t sure about my future. Shakespeare was tough, but fun in a weird way.

Teaching English and math to junior high students. Got into anime just to keep up with their interests!

Helped at a shrine with events and sold charms. A cool way to connect with Japanese traditions.

Wanted to talk with international guests—learned a lot about hospitality and smiling through anything.

After graduating from a one-year Web Development program in March, I became fascinated by computer networking. Now I'm self-studying for the CCNA certification to deepen my knowledge.
